Very discrete place that you would not expect solid gyro plate, especially being in a strip mall, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the gyro plate, and the portions were really generous, and the gyro meat was nice and moist, rather than dry, like so many places. I also added a side Greek salad, which was good. Only recommendation would be not to stuff the container so full, because it was difficult to eat in the beginning, without salad constantly falling out of the bowl on to my tray. All in all, it may be my new go to meal when I'm on my way to O'Hare, and don't want to eat in the airport.

Just moved into the neighborhood and we tried the gyro with fries and a burger. Gyros are plentiful and def shareable! It's def one of the best gyros I've had in the city. Everything was delicious and the staff was friendly. I also noticed that they deliver. Score!!

I tried the gyros plate and I have to say it was just average at best. I was expecting much more with" Gyros " in their name. I thought it would be better or a cut above other Gyros places in the area but it's the same old giant hunk of meat rotating around that all the others use. Nothing really stands out about the meal, it was kind of on the small side for my tastes and the fries were unsalted. The interior of the restaurant seems to be getting old and tired the countertop is falling apart the floors are kind of greasy and the ceiling tiles are all fading and yellow it's time for an update.

I had food from Twin's this weekend and it was outstanding! You think most beef and gyro places are about the same but the quality of food at Twin's greatly exceeded my expectations. We had the ribs and sausage and they were both delicious, flavorful and tender. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Pretty delicious. First time getting food here and had it delivered. Really surprised how fresh it tastes. Ordered 30 min before closing and they got here 50 min later, delivery guy friendly as ever. Only thing I didn't like about the food was the overwhelming onions. They stink! Other than that, very satisfied with the food. Very tasty. Thanks guys

We've ordered from here a few times and have been happy with our food and the time of delivery. The gyros are honestly meh, i feel like the gyros are better on the south side but theyre still ok and you may be a fan. The burgers are also kind of meh nothing that great. Id prefer a portillos burger myself. The grecian chicken, chicken kabob, grecian potatoes, the rice that comes with it, The ribs, for a place probably not specializing in ribs, The tuna melt all amazing. Weve ordered a few times just to order the grecian potatoes. All in all, definitely a place to try out for yourself and make your own judgement.

If you're looking for something that will fill your stomach go here. It's not amazing, but it doesn't suck. The gyros are obviously the best thing on the menu, but their burgers are pretty decent as well.

I have only been here a few times and it's less than ten minutes away from where I live. The last time I went I ordered a burger and it took them longer than normal to make but it was totally worth it. It was delicious.

some call it deconstructed, I call it plain laziness. I ordered the gyro plate, in a way I guess that's what I got, a plate of raw onions and tomatoes with meat and a pile of somewhat undercooked fries with a hot pita slapped on top for $8.82. then I asked where my drink was and they said that was extra, after having to sift through my fries to find onions and tomatoes to put on my gyro, I slowly but surely became annoyed, look, the gyro was above fair, but for $9 I want a beverage included without the work. the gyros and tzatziki sauce were above average. overall, disappointing

I have ordered from Twin's several times and each time delivery is fast, the delivery guy is friendly and the food is perfect. They have a nice variety on their menu which I like. When I've gone in to pick up an order, the service is great and the restaurant is clean. This is a great place to have a quick family meal. I definitely recommend Twin's!

Food average..a little pricy...manager not very nice. Acts like he's real important. Actually wouldnt rush back here. A not that great place.

GOOD GREEK GYROS The gyro sandwich is really good -mildly seasoned, crisp on the edges and PLENTIFUL. You can easily split this or bust your gut eating the whole thing. The sauce is a little off though. I always have to salt it up. The fries are light, flavorful and perfectly crisp....not greasy. My son always sings the praises of Twin's cheeseburger and Chili cheese fries. On the con side, the order takers can be rude and maybe Ive got bad food Karma but all three carry out times....I've been made to wait a long time with some BS excuse why.

What I observed when we placed our order, paid, sat down, WAITED and stayed here to eat for the first time, only deterred me from ever dining IN again. The restaurant was packed. The phone constantly rang with customers calling ahead for pick up and delivery. People were occupying tables or standing around waiting for their orders. It was noisy and bright. I ordered a gyro, Jason ordered the chicken gyro. Overloaded with meat, required a lot of napkins but they were equally, deliciously messy. We shared a Dew that day. Since then, I've been calling ahead for pick up and delivery. That's because, everything is cooked to order so it takes time for food to be ready. Besides, I'd rather eat in solitude than among the chaos. I like their meatball sandwich and chocolate cake. I don't think I get enough condiments whenever I order French fries smothered in something... I really like their grilled chicken breast. I substitute the pita for garlic bread with easy mayo. Even though their claim is fresh never frozen chicken is served, sometimes, it's overcooked and dry. I especially like their 1/2 Grecian chicken plate. It comes with rice and potatoes.

I will NEVER step foot in this place again! Cashier had trouble understanding my order, so I told him that if he has an issue putting my order in, to go ahead and cancel it. He insisted that my order would be fine then went to the 2 cooks behind the counter and complained about me in Spanish. (I understand Spanish). When I heard the complaining, I moved over to the front counter and I hear one of the cooks telling the cashier that I was standing behind him (in Spanish), so the cashier shuts up and walks back over to the register. When I get home and open up my sandwich, it was soggy - IT HAD BEEN DUNKED IN PICKLE JUICE! Called owner to share my experience and the owner offered to make it right by having me come in for a new sandwich - NO WAY JOSE! I wouldn't trust those vindictive cooks with my food ever again. Makes me wonder if they pee'd in the pickle bucket before dunking my sandwich in?!?!?? Maybe they'll open up a can of ALPO and disguise it in my sandwich! Perhaps sneeze or spit into my sandwich?!??! DISGUSTING! NEVER AGAIN! TOO DISGUSTED WITH THIS PLACE! I don't trust them ever. If you do decide to order food from Twins, then don't ask for anything different and don't complain coz if you do.... ya never know if you'll end up eating feces. lol yeah, that's a joke, but seriously, I would not trust these guys.

Best cheese fries hands down!! Yum!! I had the Philly cheese steak and it was just okay, next time I will most def have the gyros obvi that's what they are known for!!

Based on my experience there doesn't seem to be much you can get from Twins that will stand out. It's pedestrian, edible, and convenient. I think it strives bc the lack of competition in the area and its location with the parking lot on a busy street in Harlem. They deliver which is another reason they probably do good business. But each and every time I've ordered from inside of twins I've waited an awfully long time for the food. I've had the Gyro, the pork kabobs, cheese burger and the Greek salad all of which were just alright. I'm sure I'll go back simply bc Twins is close to me and I could do a lot worse. I may have rated this place a little higher but they are very pricey for what they are.

  • Andy M.

Gyros and Greek places are by far the best. This delightful place is on Harlem and I enjoyed the dishes handed out. Unlike a taqueria the meat here is supplied by reputable vendors and real tasty. Everything from the burgers to lamb to gyros are very good. They give you a huge serving of fries and do not fill up your drink with ice. That is about all you can ask for.

My family ordered from Twins tonight and it was a complete nightmare. They said 30 minutes (we live just a few blocks away from there) and it was closer to an hour before the food arrived. We met the delivery guy at the door, who didn't seem to notice that the soup we ordered spilled all over everything, and handed over one of two bags of food that split open in mid-air due to the wetness of the bag. Half of our order was now on our front steps, thanks to a silly mistake. Who packs a styrofoam cup of soup in a bag with sandwiches? As this happened, the delivery guy stared at it, didn't apologize, and made up excuses as to why it spilled. Then, rather than offering to replace the food, the guy still asked for the money and said he would ask management to "issue a credit" for the food on the ground, attempting to take note of what had fallen. This is plain ridiculous!?!?! We called Twins back and told them what happened, and they offered to replace the food. Okay, fine. About 30 minutes later, the food arrived with the SAME delivery guy. This man, who was in his 50's/60's, asked us "where the food was" that spilled because he wanted to "take it back to the restaurant to show them what happened." Are you f****** kidding me? He actually expected us to save the food that spilled all over the porch more than half an hour ago? Not to mention the spilled soup from the bag dripped all across the floor, should we have saved that for him, too!? Needless to say, we are never ordering from there EVER again. The food really isn't worth the poor service. Do yourself a favor and just order from Tom & Jerry's!

Twins is so tasty. For the price you pay, it is so worth it. The service is very quick, and the workers are great. I absolutely love the Greek fries with feta cheese and a lemon wedge. I also usually get the mini chicken gyro (yes chicken; they also have beef). They also have cheese fries and hot wings (bone in). Hot dogs, burgers, salads, spinach pie, and much more are also found on the menu. It's small inside and very casual. They do deliver to certain areas with some restrictions. Pick ups usually only take 10 minutes. My go to "fast food" is almost always Twins. I like the variety on the menu, quick service, and staff.

Twins is a great lunch or dinner stop looks average from the outside dont let that fool ya the food is delicious portions are huge and they price is very good gyros is huge and good

Sure it looks like your average gyros place; but it's not. The food and service are excellent and the menu is huge. The best part of this place is that it is family run by a couple of guys that grew up in the neighborhood. They know their customers and they give back to their community several times over.

This was my first time ordering delivery and let me tell you.. My food was still steamy when it arrived at my home. It was a little less than 10degress outside and to my surprise my food was still hot and delicious. I ordered the gyro and cheese fries, the gyro was mounted with meat and fries were nice and crisp. Definitely ordering again!

Ordered from this place a few days ago and sadly I didn't have any gyros I know how ironic lol. But I ordered a 1/4 cheeseburger with bacon and Greek fries. Delivery came within the hour and it was pretty good juice but the the choice of bun needs improvement my burger was falling into pieces and bread wasn't making it. The burger had a good flavor was juicy enough to my liking and satisfied my burger fix. I loved the Greek fries just the right amount of feta all over them. Next time I order I most def will be checking out their gyro selection!

Excellent Gyro! Overflowing with gyro meat and tzatziki, no skimping here! Fries were fresh and hot. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely coming back.

Love the kabobs! Mya daughter is fond of the italian beef. Either way you go the food is really good!

Whatever you do, do not order the CHICKEN GYROS, DON'T DO IT! I love chicken gyros, and I had assumed I would love this one. Every time I have one, the meat is white meat chicken, real meat. At this location, you get fake meat. OK, maybe it is real, a real snake, because it is not Chicken! It's this strange long meat like regular gyros meat, but it's beige and tastes like a snake must. YUCK! UGH! The horror! The regular gyros wasn't that great, and I have had some awesome gyros. The meat is undercooked and mushy, and it's just not that great.

This place is pretty nice, good food, good prices and great customer service. For what it is, a hot dog, Italian beef, hamburger and all-in-one joint, it is worth a trip for a decent meal. The outside aesthetics may be offputting but the inside atmosphere is fine. Everything I've had has been pretty good if not great, with the exception of their Italian beef. So, if you need a quick meal or your junk food fix, this place is probably the best in the area. Of course, if you want authentic Italian food and sandwiches, check out the to Italian deli nearby on Harlem Avenue.

If your in town and you want a gyro, look no further! Not the biggest portion but it is the tastiest I've had in the area thus far. Fries are thick and it always fills me up.

The food is very good but I have to take a couple of stars away because they need to improve the way they package everything. We have picked up and had delivery and more than once the sauce has leaked all over the bag,in our car and all over the our table. This has happened more than once with both Greek Chicken and potatoes. It was very good but a mess to clean up. They need to better secure everything so it stays in the container. Food very good though, we have had a variety and never disappointed.

Love the chicken on pita with mayo, American cheese, and teriyaki sauce..so good..my whole family is addicted..the other stuff is good except ........ for their French fries...they always taste bad..like old..re- fried or cooked in old oil...it sucks because I'm a French fry woman... But that pita is good enough for me to come back... Delivery sucks! One day we had to cancel an order cause its not even reasonable....so just go In.... The tiramisu is so good....!!!

MOST EXPENSIVE MEAL I'VE EVER BOUGHT: I ended up paying over 3000 dollars as a result of a gyro I ate here. How? Well, because three hours after eating here, I started vomiting and doing other things related to food poisoning. After 5 hours of this, I ended up being admitted to an emergency room, and was kept on fluids for over three hours. I lost about 16 percent of the water in my body due to eating here and got a 3000 bill from the hospital two weeks later. Never again!

Twins has amazing food! It's menu has a variety of options to choose from & it doesn't disappoint. I always get a gyro, pork souvlaki, chicken salad, or burger & they are so delicious. Their cream of chicken soup with a little bit of lemon his the spot. I've been going here for a while, however, they have switched some staff & there is a older woman working there who isn't very friendly. Besides that though very great atmosphere. Most definitely a place to go when hungry .

the onion rings are horrible! one taste and I wanted to barf! it got soggy real fast. It tasted real nasty. not even taste like onion rings. is it beer battered? bc I taste a lot of beer or probably it just taste like garbage! I never had such bad onion rings and they were over priced! I wasted my money. why do they put cheese on top of the fries? it makes the fries soft! and soogy! the gyro was not bad compared to other places I been to. if your onion rings taste like cramp. its not worth coming for anything else. although im glad the gyro wasn't a diseaster . the onion rings just grossed me out. I threw it away along with my money! fries needed salt. it tasted plain. not worth a second trip.

Love this place, food is great and delivery lightning fast. They usually say 30-45 minutes but my average has been 22 minutes for delivery. Highly recommend trying!

I have been eating at Twins for many years and still love this place. The new management has made only good changes, as far as I can tell. Their food is fast, fresh and cheap. The service is always friendly too! Love the vegetarian options for my wife, the burgers, rib tips & fudge cake.

  • Mrs. F.

Do not order the chicken gyros! Honey-mustard sauce should have been a tip-off to me, but I didn't expect slices of unseasoned, barely warm, pressed chicken, topped with lettuce and globs of sauce. No onions, no tzatiki, cold pita bread. This is a poor excuse for the chicken gyros offered in other Greek places. Maybe the real gyros is better, but at the price they charge (nearly $6.500 for a sandwich, no fries, no drink--why go to Twins?

So I've been going here consistently for the past year and a half and can't believe i'm just *now* writing a review! If you want to be bad and eat junk food this is a great spot. But since i'm on a health kick i'm totally addicted to their greek salad. Their chicken is grilled to perfection and I always pay for extra chicken. If i'm beng extra good I don't get the pita with it and their dressing is like liquid crack. I don't know what they put in it but my 4 y/old dips everything in it, Even her hot dog. Gross LOL! Anyways. Go there and eat their deliciousness. You won't regret it. P.S They have a great patio in the summertime and their tiramisu is soooo yummy!

Everytime I know I am eating out this is my go to place. They have a good sized menu, very courtieous workers and good food. I only pick from 4 or 5 items here but all of them have always been very good. Greek chicken salad is one of my favs. Their salad dressing is so good I could drink it. Spinach pie might seem expensive but its bigger than most restaraunts. When you get a dinner it comes with rice potatoes and a pita. Very filling, maybe a little too much on the carbs but what do you expect from a fast food place. If the dinners cam with an option for a side salad over potatoes or rice thise place would have 5 stars by me.

  • Amanda C.

BEST ONION RINGS EVER! Seriously... go get them now. Everything else is pretty good, too. The problem is that the onion rings are so stellar that you expect everything else to be amazing, when everything else is really just decent. Nice people. It seems like a family run business, so you get that nice feel. They always have a game on the tv with a couple of guys chit-chatting underneath it. Nice atmosphere :)

Average at most. Overpriced for the quality (or there of) of food and unfriendly rushed service. I ordered on several occasions but each time was disappointed with the food. Bad value. Save your money and go elsewhere.

  • Robert H.

The owners are very family oriented; not just within their actual family, but willing to expand that ideal to everyone that comes in. They also employ people that feel the same way. I can't say they are the typical gyro and hot-dog joint, because they are anything but. They put their own spin on every meal and they're all wonderful. Must try... Ribs (Specials on Mon/Tue) "Philly" cheese-steaks Chicken Fajita, on a Pita.

Last reviewer must have had an off night. Our first time picking up food from here a few months ago they were 10 minutes from closing and were happy to oblige our order for gyros and an italian beef. The italian beefs are decent for this area. Food sucks in general around here so I'm rating based upon the standards for this area. Twins is a basic classic Chicago spot. Beefs, gyros, fries. The ribs aren't anything to get too excited about, but they're like 12 bucks so you get what you pay for. I had my first italian beef and sausage cheesy combo from here a few weeks ago. I promptly passed out on the couch and woke up 2 hours later wondering what day it was. Awesome. Can't ask for much more from a greasy out-of-body experience. The other choices within a block of here are Baker's Square and McDonald's. Don't be so picky, it's just junk food.

This is my go to place for whatever my craving is at the moment. They have the best gyros, cheeseburgers, smoothies, and fries. The prices are very reasonable, the portions are big, and the staff is very friendly and fast.

food used to be good, i am very disappointed, the hamburgers have changed, and they no longer have cole slaw? very unfriendly service!!!

The food is ok but the service is not dependable. I ordered food for my family on a Friday night and we were promised in 40 min. It took 60 min. We paid with credit. Once the food came late, the delivery woman told us we did not pay with credit card. She made us call the place to confirm that we did. Then we received our food and was missing cheese fries for my son. I called to request my food and to my surprise the OWNER told me it was never added to my order. I told him yes it was and the woman even reread my order. He said it was not on the receipt and if I wanted the food I can come and pick it up. He told me this was generous and I argued differ. The order was placed and I wanted my order. Last but not least, the owner hung up the phone on me. I would depend on this place or their staff.

Great fast food. The owners don't seem to be the friendliest people, but the cooks are always nice and recognize the regulars. Their cheese fries and onion rings are incredible, as is their fish sandwich. It's a great place to go to pick up food for a group of people -- their burgers, gyros, hot dogs, etc are all excellent. Good value for your money, though I will agree that with the last owners the portions were larger. It's one of my favorite places to go when I head north.

One of the BEST Italian Beef and Cheesy Beefs I've had. Just the thought of it is making my mouth salvate as I type this. Never really tried anything else from there besides the addition of fries to my beef. Only negative thing about this place is the girl who takes orders is a little too blonde for my style and sometimes she messes up or forgets something. BUT the deliciousness of the beefs makes it worth it.
